Painters, carvers, food, music — all on Resort Drive Sept. 8
Artists who would like to join the Party on the Drive in Parksville this year should contact organizers today.
This is the second annual event, taking place this year on Sept. 8 from 1 p.m.- 5 p.m., where Island artists, food vendors, musicians and more come together for an enormous street party on Resort Drive.
Many painters, carvers, photographers, textile artists and jewelers have signed up to join the party and organizers can accommodate about seven more.
Music performers Kumbana Marimba, Peter Jack Rainbird, Dave Kilbank, Dave Marco and Exit 51 will get party-goers dancing, while Extreme Eatz, Just Fries, La Vida Vegan and other fine food vendors keep people nourished.
There will be a labyrinth, bouncy castles, hula hooping, glitter tattoos a live owl and much more.
Party on the Drive, sponsored by The NEWS, will be represented at the Craig Street Summer by the Sea Market on August 20 and Aug 27.
