Night at the Palace will take place Feb. 21-23 this year at the Errington Hall.

It’s that time of year again, when dozens of local people come together to put on a fantastic spectacle, called Night at the Palace.

This is the ninth time the show will be running at the Errington Hall, filled with singing, dancing, comedy, some burlesque, often some circus performances and more. The show has become so popular organizers sell tickets at the hall during certain times on a first-come first-served basis. That day this year was Sunday Jan. 20.

“Since I’ve been involved, and a few years before that, I know it sells out every year and I mean usually within the two hours that the tickets are on sale they’re gone,” said Virginia Anderson, one of the organizers.

Last year, organizers introduced three separate showings and they still all sold out.

Anderson said she thinks the show is so popular because it’s something different in the community, there are a variety of different acts, there are many people involved and it’s slightly different every year. She also thinks people like the Vaudeville theme, including dressing up in the clothing reminiscent of the 1880s-1930s era and listening to music from that period.

Night at the Palace runs Feb. 21 to 23 at the Errington Hall, tickets are $25 and the show starts at 8 p.m. If there are any tickets left, they will be available at the Errington General Store.
