The Boom Booms will play their unique fusion of musical genres at the Errington Hall on Oct. 4.

No strangers to the Hall, the Boom Booms are a band of brothers with a distinct sound and one-of-a-kind live show, according to a news release.

Their upbeat music draws on folk, reggae, rock, Latin, high-life, soul, funk and pop.

Uplifting, with a lot of heart and good vibes, the music is for people who want to go out and have a good time.

Together since 2008, the band has played countless shows for thousands of people, headlined multiple festivals, released four albums, hosted beloved block parties and raised money for charity.

The band is made up of Aaron Ross (vocals, guitar), Tom Van Deursen (lead guitar), Theo Vincent (drums), Geordie Hart (bass) and Chris Couto (congas).

The Boom Booms honed their music and developed their social conscience busking around Europe and touring extensively across Latin America in an old psychedelically-painted RV.

They even used their prize money from the Peak Performance Project to fund a trip to Brazil that resulted in a documentary centred around the struggle of the Kayapo people to protect their land in the Amazon. Of course, they brought the sounds of Brazilian music back with them.

After 15 years of music making, Ross, Van Deursen, Tom, Vincent, Hart and newcomer Couto agree it’s been a great ride and they’re just getting started.

Tickets are $30 at Shades of Green and Errington Store, and $22.50 online at https://ErringtonHall.Tickit.ca.

Children ages six to 12 are $5 and teens are $15 at the door; free under age six.

Home-baked goodies, ginger tea and Creekmore’s coffee are available from the kitchen.
