Prepare to be disappointed if you think this will stop fireworks.
Nanaimo has had such a ban for years but little has changed. Apparently the authorities are unable to find the perpetrators, even though the light and noise from the fireworks is obvious to everyone.
Even when an exact address and pictures were provided to police, the penalty is to be told not to do it again. Needless to say, that stops no one.
