While waiting in the grocery line recently, I realized there was some sort of delay just ahead of me.

The cashier had called over the assistant manager. The customer, a wheelchair senior, was trying to purchase a very large quantity of gift cards. The store staff quickly recognized that the senior had been the victim of a telephone scam, explained the situation quietly and carefully to him, and told him to call the police if it ever happened again. He left the store with his money still in his wallet.

The staff at Save-On-Foods are obviously alert to scams of this nature, and it is very much appreciated to learn that they are doing their part to protect the public. Well done, Save-On-Foods. Keep up the good work.
