I have lived in Parksville many years, seeing many changes, the recent one being the “affordable housing” on the highway and Despard.
A wonderful concept, yet working full-time making over minimum wage doesn’t leave a lot after taxes for rent, good insurance, car and content and fun… a vital part of living.
We encourage our children to be independent, yet they cannot even afford to move on their own.
Affordable should be after taxes not gross income.
