Kudos to brave school district trustee

Re: ‘Qualicum school district considers eliminating field trips requiring air travel’ (www.pqbnews.com, Sept. 25)

My commendations to the brave Qualicum school district trustee.

I can imagine the shock and dismay of the ‘flying public’ feeling that their wings may soon be clipped.

Does no one remember the world’s skies around 9/11 ? With the cancellation of air travel, some of the more air-polluted countries actually had some breathable air. Now think of the exponential increase in air travel since then.
