Re: ‘Weather disasters are not new’ (Letters, PQB News, June 6)

Congratulations Mr. Greir.

We have not, for years, been able to hear from anyone with alternate views regarding climate change.

Anyone speaking against the one-sided argument we’ve been hearing is vilified and ignored. Guess what? There are arguments out there, both pro and con, from scientists on both sides.

I am so tired of hearing young people (some as young as six) spouting in front of TV cameras (and crying) saying our world is going to quit existing as a livable planet.

This may be true, but they are regurgitating an adult’s words without understanding that they will grow up and have to learn how to listen to arguments on both sides and make their own decisions. Anyone who has visited the museum in Drumheller,

Alta., has to wonder that if our planet was tropical, then covered in ice, which is now melting - what is the plan next?

So far we’ve seen a lot of taxes, but what are the daily plans? We can do so much more for no tax costs at all.
