I want to draw everybody’s attention to a very dangerous practice in this time of high temperatures and very dry conditions.
As I was walking the trail beside the railroad running from top bridge to the Alberni Highway 4A, a big, heavy service truck passed me on the railroad tracks.
Now that in itself is not that terrible but in this case, the grass beside the railroad is two feet high and turned into hay.
One spark from this truck and the hay will catch fire and so will the forest and Shelly Creek Park beside it.
The City of Parksville should not let this allow to happen.
