Re: ‘People are complacent and default to easy’ (Letters, PQB News, June 3)

Don’t know how these observations could be made.

I shop once a week at both the grocery store and pharmacy in Qualicum Beach. Right from start of COVID-19 in March, everyone I see shopping all over QB Village always observes the ‘safe distancing’ rules as clear signage and markings are apparent everywhere.

And when out walking, people literally walk on opposite sides of streets when meeting another walker.

I also walk in the Village one more time during the week for a few items not available during grocery shopping visits. Same courtesy ‘safe distancing’ is always applied everywhere: grocery store, pharmacy, hardware store and liquor depot.
