I am in favour of allowing electric motors on Spider Lake, limited to 55-pound thrust.
As for being told to go to Horne Lake instead of Spider Lake, that does not make any sense.
Spider Lake is 52 hectares, 1.25 kilometres long; Horne Lake is 850 ha, six-plus kilometres long.
The winds that create problems on Spider Lake are generated on Horne Lake - it is a wind tunnel.
This is not a viable solution. We are using eight-, 10- and 12-foot boats. These are very small for a lake that size. I am 80 years old and safety to me is paramount.
