Hats off to Nanaimo Mayor Leonard Krog offering to start a pilot program to institutionalize severely mentally ill people.
The closure of Riverview Hospital and other similar facilities across Canada and the U.S. has resulted in the now apparent increase in homelessness.
What was thought to be a good idea at the time seems to have now been proven wrong. Hopefully, the provincial government will support this idea.
