I read with dismay the article about the proposal for another high-rise complex on Parksville Beach.
Six buildings, one of 19 storeys, another of 15 and two others of eight storeys each! That is the last thing we need. The Beach Club is enough.
I am confident that the residents of our small community and those who are visiting our beautiful city want to be able to enjoy the beach and the views of it.
I don’t want our waterfront to look like Waikiki Beach with one high-rise building after the other. This is not what Parksville is about.
I say “No, no, no” to this megaproject.
