Executive director Carol Richardson and programs director Gerard Klomp presented the results of Forward House’s community canvas project to the City of Parksville at Monday’s council meeting.

A canvas was left in front of the house, across from city hall, during the summer and people passing by were encouraged to add to the communal painting.

Richardson said it was interesting to watch the behaviour of people stopping to work on it, often not daring to, on the first couple times they passed by.

She said they were impressed to see there was never anything rude or destructive painted.

Accepting the painting, acting mayor Chris Burger suggested there was an empty wall in his office since he has only been there temporarily for the last year.
