Rotary supports local charities

Club’s events doing well, more events on the horizon

Sunrise Rotary Club, Qualicum Beach is enjoying its 16th year of benevolent service to our local and international community.

When you support Rotary fund raising events, you can rest assured that 100 percent of all proceeds from every event goes directly to the charities it supports.

Sunrise Rotary is a vibrant group of dedicated doers who give generously of their own time to ensure the club’s commitments are met and exceeded.

The annual Gourmet Dinner Dance and Silent Auction was so successful this spring, it's already in the planning for March 16, 2013. We have changed the Name for this exciting fun evening to The Spring Ball.  A safe ride home is offered to attendees, without charge, to ensure you can have an evening of enjoyment, without concerns.

This year’s Roses From Rotary campaign exceeded last year's success, with over 400 dozen beautiful roses delivered with a smile to happy recipients throughout Oceanside.

Tickets are on sale now, for the much anticipated annual Christmas in Oceanside Home Tour, on Dec. 8, 10 am to 4 p.m.

It’s a self directed tour featuring seven gracious Oceanside homes, beautifully decorated for the Christmas season. Tickets are $25, which includes the tour and luncheon discounts at participating restaurants. Tickets are available at the Qualicum Beach Chamber of Commerce office, the Parksville and Qualicum Beach Visitor Center, Mulberry Bush Book Store, Parksville and Qualicum locations, The Shoe Inn in Qualicum Beach and Close to You Fashions in Parksville.

We also have a not for profit society that owns and operates an 850 square foot Community Hall, known as Rotary House on the corner of Fern and Beach.   This hall is rented for weddings, anniversaries, coffee meetings, etc and free to qualified charitable groups.  For information go to www.qbsunriserotary.ca/ or maryandtrevor@shaw.ca
