Qualicum Beach Family History Society announces Parfitt as next guest speaker

The Qualicum Beach Family History Society (QBFHS) is set to present their next guest speaker, a volunteer at the Historic McLean Mill in Port Alberni, Dewayne Parfitt. The topic will be about the McLean Mill Historic Park and its connection to the Alberni Railway. This talk will take place on Nov. 4 at 7 p.m., through Zoom invitation. It will be available to all members, as well as members of Parksville, Qualicum Beach and Port Alberni communities.

The McLean Mill is a national historic site. It is a former sawmill located on the Alberni Valley, and was designated as a national historical site in 1989.
