The City of Parksville is looking for feedback, ideas and thoughts on its communications initiatives.
The city is in the beginning stages of a website redesign project and is looking to gather feedback from residents, businesses and visitors, according to a news release by the city.
"It’s been a while since we checked in to see how you wish to receive information about city programs, activities and projects," the release stated. "We’re redesigning and replacing our city website to be more user friendly, accessible and customer focused and wish to improve the experience for residents, businesses and visitors to the City of Parksville when viewing our website."
The online survey, open until July 29, will take a few minutes to complete, according to the city.
The website is one of the city's key communications tools for the community to connect and stay informed.
Feedback is valuable to this process. The city's current website has reached the end of its effective life, now almost 15 years old.
"Do you have ideas on how we can improve our website?" the release said. "As well, it will be beneficial for us to know how you prefer to receive information from the city and how you prefer to provide your feedback."
Residents can share their thoughts in the survey online at https://letstalkparksville.ca/comms-survey2024. A paper copy of the survey may be obtained from the city's administration department.
