While the Oceanside Generals are still working on fortifying their roster, off the ice the team has been busy recruiting volunteers to help out, particularly during home games.

Currently, they’re looking for someone who can sing the national anthem during home games.

The Generals regular singer, Hugh Sinnott, whose resonant voice has been a familiar fixture to Oceanside fans, will be missing as he is recovering from a health issue.

Until Sinnot’s return, the Generals need a fill-in anthem singer for home games. If you are interested, please contact Tara Hannibal at 250-619-6409.

As well, the Generals need help during home games and would greatly appreciate more volunteers to give them assistance. Call Hannibal if you can help.

This weekend the Generals host the Port Alberni Bombers at Oceanside Place on Saturday, Sept. 16. Puck drops at 7 p.m.
