An online presentation on Tuesday, Jan. 26 aims to educate business owners on what federal funding might be available to them.
The Parksville and District Chamber of Commerce will facilitate a webinar on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., called CRA Explains: Federal Grants and Subsidies.
In the chamber’s public release, it read “as we’ve moved through the pandemic, various federal funding programs have been developed to assist businesses and individuals.”
In the webinar, Matthew Hohnsbehn, CRA liaison officer, will go through various programs and highlight their benefits and impacts. Hohnsbehn will be joined by Cara Light, MNP senior manager, who will provide a private sector perspective.
Dan Kucherka, CA and Nanaimo chamber board treasurer, will act as moderator and will facilitate the question and answer period.
The Parksville and District Chamber of Commerce encourages anyone interested to take advantage of the available programs while also taking steps to avoid putting themselves and their business in a tax liability position as a result of participating in these benefits programs.
For chamber members, webinar participation cost is $10. For non-chamber members, webinar participation cost is $15.
The cost will be payable at the time of registration. A Zoom link will be provided the day before the presentation.
