Three local organizations will receive additional funds.
At the Oct. 5 Parksville council meeting, council voted in favour of three organizations to receive funds through the Grant-in-Aid application. The total of $3,075 will be allocated for the fall 2020 applications.

“We had some applications that were removed or others that did not take place. So that’s why we have a little bit more money that was available to give out to the three organizations,” said Coun. Teresa Patterson.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Vancouver Island, Parksville and District Historical Society and Parkville Qualicum Adult Literacy Society each received $1,025.
