Parksville and area residents turned out in droves to pay their respects at a Remembrance Day ceremony on Nov. 11.
The event began with a parade that marched to the Cenotaph and included a bugler playing the Last Post, laying of the wreaths and a flyover of vintage military aircraft.
Remembrance Day services were also held at the Bowser and Qualicum Beach legions.
This year marked 110 years since the outbreak of the First World War.
