The Parksville Community Centre Society is extending its partnership with Recycle BC to continue the popup recycling depot events at 1080 Industrial Way in Parksville through June 30, 2025.
The events will take place on Saturdays from January to June inclusive. They will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Jan. 11, Jan. 25, Feb. 8, Feb. 22, March 8, March 22, April 5, April 26, May 10, May 24, June 14 and June 28.
The following materials will be accepted free of charge: flexible plastic packaging; white and coloured foam packaging; glass packaging; paper packaging and cardboard.
“The Parksville Community Centre Society continues to work with RecycleBC to provide this valuable service to the community and to look at ways to improve the service in the coming months,” said Duane Round, president of the PCCS.
“Recycle BC is pleased to continue its partnership with the PCCS and offer popup recycling events in 2025 for residents of Parksville, Qualicum Beach and surrounding areas,” said Brendan McShane, director of collection fo Recycle BC. “These events offer a closer recycling solution for depot-only materials, mixed paper, and cardboard and will help keep these materials out of the landfill and our environment.”
