The Regional District of Nanaimo's photo contest received an array of entries that featured stunning pictures of various subjects and sites in the region.
The contest ended on Nov. 24 and the judges went through a huge number of entries that included photos from neighbouring islands to wildlife and people enjoying our great outdoors, participants captured the diversity and beauty of our region.
The photos showcased the best of the RDN and the exceptional photography skills of our residents. From an incredible selection of photos from so many talented individuals, we are pleased to announce the winning photographers and photos:
• Active in the Outdoors: Deer on the Rocks at Sunrise (Nanoose Bay) by Neil A.
• Your RDN: Ammonite Falls in Autumn by Ken N.
• Going Green: Greenhouse, veggies and energy by Todd L.
• Your Region (Youth): Englishman River Falls by Noah L.
• People’s Choice Award: Sunrise at Piper’s Lagoon by Saffi C.
All category winners will receive a $100 gift card to a local business of their choice. In addition, all photographers were entered into a draw. The winner of the $100 gift card draw prize is Deborah F.
