The young athletes of the Oceanside Track and Field Club competed at the Annual Bob Daily Track Meet in Port Alberni recently.

It was the first meet of the season and coach Juliette Desvaux said their athletes, aged 9-13, did amazingly well. The Oceanside track club have started practising on Tuesday and Thursday, 5:15 p.m.-6:45 p.m. at Ballenas track.

Desvaux said the club will attend four more meets across the island, including Victoria, Naniamo, Duncan and Comox between now and the end of June. For more information, go to www.oceansidetrackfield.ca
