The Qualicum Beach Curling Club recently held its '50 & Fabulous' ladies bonspiel.
It was a Woodstock-themed event for ladies aged 50 and over and they enjoyed three days of peace, music and curling.
There were 20 teams from across Vancouver Island competing, including curlers from Victoria, Duncan and Comox.
The winners of the A Event were Team Fulkerth from Comox. In the B and C events, the winning team are from the Qualicum Beach Curling Club and the skips of each team are sisters.
In the B Event, skip Lynda Burns led her team of Sandra Kewley, Cheryl Biggs and Lorane Martin to victory.
Not to be outdone, Burns's sister Peggy Aikman also helped her team of Darcie Demchuk, Brenda Batchelor and Teena Walz to finish on top.
The ladies senior event is one of the many bonspiels the club is hosting during its 60th season in the community.
