“Renovations are finally complete, and it's officially time for our 24-year anniversary ‘Sale-A-Bration!’”says Mark Nagra, owner of M&N Mattress and Sofa Gallery in Parksville.
After 24 years, owners Mark and his wife, Neelam, have plenty to celebrate. Their award-winning business has earned multiple accolades for exceptional customer service, community commitment, and overall business excellence. They are once again finalists for November's Vancouver Island BBB (Better Business Bureau) Torch Awards, which they won in 2015 and every year since 2017.
“Being nominated and recognized as one of the finalists for the 2024 BBB Torch Award is incredibly exciting,” Mark says. “We’re truly honoured to be nominated again by our supportive customers and to advance to the finals. The prospect of winning once more is a wonderful feeling. Striving for exceptional customer service, high-quality local products, and a commitment to supporting the community that has always stood by us have been the cornerstones of our business. We completed phase three of our renovations just in time to celebrate our 24th anniversary, and the possibility of another award has our entire team feeling fantastic.”
To mark the occasion, the M&N Mattress and Sofa Gallery team is hosting a 24 year anniversary, 16-hour blowout ‘Sale-A-Bration’ sale on Friday, Oct. 18, and Saturday, Oct. 19, from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., with discounts of up to 80 per cent. The event will also feature a ‘Win Back Your Purchase’ contest and a free Ironman/Pure Energy mattress contest, with partial proceeds from this event to be donated to the Society of Organized Services (SOS) in Parksville, a non-profit that supports residents of District 69.
The sale will run from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both days, with discounts on a wide range of furniture, including sofas, mattresses, and more. Mark also notes that the store’s new section will serve as a temporary clearance centre to move out older stock, scratch-and-dent items, floor models, and customer return mattresses and furniture at significant savings to make room for new styles arriving soon.
“Supporting local initiatives like SOS, as well as other local non-profits, is very important to me and the rest of the M&N team. Technically, it’s our customers who are supporting the community with their dollars; we’re just the middleman,” Mark says. “We’re incredibly grateful to be part of the Parksville/Qualicum Beach community and to have been supported by our neighbours for the past 24 years. We can’t thank everyone enough, and we’re already looking forward to another 24 years on beautiful Vancouver Island.”
