For the past 24 years, Mark Nagra and his wife Neelam, owners of M&N Mattress and Sofa Gallery in Parksville, have dedicated themselves to nurturing and growing their small furniture business in Parksville, focusing on community, quality furniture, and exceptional customer service.
Their commitment, and that of their team, has earned the business numerous accolades over the years, including a top-three finish in this year's Vancouver Island BBB (Better Business Bureau) Torch Awards.
“Although we didn’t take first place this year, our gratitude to our loyal customers is beyond words. Being recognized in the top three for customer service on the Island is an honour, and Neelam and I couldn’t be prouder of what our team has accomplished over the past year,” Mark says.
The M&N team is currently wrapping up a multi-phase expansion project that began in 2022. After first upgrading and renovating the store’s exterior, an interior expansion followed, after Suds & Duds Laundromat relocated. The latest phase included a further interior expansion into the space previously occupied by the Farmhouse Restaurant, following the owners' retirement.
"We finished our renovations last month, and we’re now incorporating our existing sofa gallery and its inventory into the main M&N Mattress storefront. It’s a big task, but it’s something we’ve been working towards for many years, and we’re excited to offer our customers a more convenient shopping experience, all under one roof." Mark explains.
As the team combines the two storefronts, they’re offering special prices on floor models of sofas, loveseats, recliners and sofa beds at both locations. While the moving sale doesn’t have a set end date, it is limited to floor models, which are expected to sell quickly.
"Our floor models are a great option for those who want a quality sofa or recliner and also want to save on their purchase. We’d rather sell them than move them next door. However, since these are floor models, they’re only available on a first-come, first-served basis," Mark says.
