Advance polls open Oct. 5 and Oct. 12 for 2022 municipal elections

Voting opportunities in Parksville, QB and RDN open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Voters in the Parksville Qualicum Beach area will have two chances to cast a ballot in advance of the Oct. 15 local government elections.

Parksville, Qualicum Beach and the Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN) have all provided advance vote opportunities on Oct. 5 and Oct. 12.

In Parksville, advance voting is set for 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Parksville Community Centre (132 Jensen Ave E), according to the city.

For Qualicum Beach voters, advance polls will be available at the Qualicum Beach Civic Centre (747 Jones St.), from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Qualicum Beach voters may also choose to cast their vote via mail ballot.

RDN residents can vote in advance on Oct. 5, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the following locations:

Electoral Areas E, F, G, H: Oceanside Place Arena (Multi-purpose Room) 830 West Island Highway, Parksville;

Electoral Areas E, F, G, H: Qualicum Beach Community Hall - 644 Memorial Ave, Qualicum Beach;

Electoral Areas A, B, C, E, F, G, H and Gabriola Island Local Trust Area: Regional District of Nanaimo Administration Building (Board Chambers) - 6300 Hammond Bay Road, Nanaimo.

A second advance voting opportunity is available on Oct. 12, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the following locations:

Electoral Areas E, F, G, H: Oceanside Place Arena (Multi-purpose Room) 830 West Island Highway, Parksville;

Electoral Areas A, B, C, E, F, G, H and Gabriola Island Local Trust Area: Regional District of Nanaimo Administration Building (Board Chambers) - 6300 Hammond Bay Road, Nanaimo.

Voters in the RDN can apply for a mail-in ballot.
