ASAR rescue lost hiker near Englishman River Falls Provincial Park

Hiker took a wrong turn onto logging road

A woman who became lost while hiking in the Englishman River Falls Provincial Park area was safely located by Arrowsmith Search and Rescue on Nov. 16.

Search and rescue members were dispatched to the park and the logging roads out of Mosaic’s Northwest Bay Division, according to ASAR.

A search and rescue manager was able to call her cell phone and establish her approximate location on a map, which allowed teams to quickly locate the woman, who was hiking with her dog.

She took a wrong turn and ended up on a logging road. The hiker was brought back to her vehicle at the park.
