BIG FLAMES, NO INJURIES: The flames looked dramatic and the black plume could be seen across the region, but there were no injuries from a fire in the former Rascal Trucking lot (it's currently a miscellaneous storage yard), in Parksville's industrial park around 10 a.m. Monday. Parksville Volunteer Fire Department Chief Doug Banks said the fire appeared to start in an unoccupied motorhome and spread to a boat/storage container, but was contained before spreading further.
