Broombusters start chopping Saturday

Teams will meet at the train station at the Alberni Highway interchange in Parksville

Grease up those loppers and get ready to chop!

Broom cutting season is upon us, says Broombusters head Joanne Sales, and she’s looking for volunteers to help make the invasive weed history in the area.

The broom-busting action kicks off on Saturday, April 27, from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., with teams meeting at the train station at the Alberni Highway interchange in Parksville.
