Check your cards and cast your vote

Don't miss out on May 2

Registered voters should have received their official Elections Canada voter card in the mail by now.

The card contains information about the voter and the location in this riding (Nanaimo-Alberni) where you are able to cast your ballot.

If you did not receive a voter registration card in the mail, you can register to vote on election day, May 2.

First, find out where you can vote — visit www.elections.ca and search via your postal code or by candidate.

Then, show up on election day with photo identification that can prove who you are and your address. If worst comes to worst, you can have someone else who knows you well (and who has the proper ID) vouch for you.

Note that you must be a Canadian citizen and at least 18 years old to vote in Canada.
