Parksville city council wants input from residents and businesses prior to budget deliberation meetings in March and April.

This input will help to inform the City of Parksville’s 2023-2027 financial plan, according to a news release by the city.

The city’s annual budget is part of a five-year financial plan which sets out the services and initiatives for the next five years and how the City of Parksville will pay for them.

“The City strives to maintain quality programs and services for our residents and keep taxes affordable for businesses and homeowners,” the release read.

The survey, available online until 4 p.m. on Feb.24, may be accessed from the city’s website. Paper copies of the survey may also be obtained from City Hall, according to the release.

Council meetings to discuss the new financial plan will be held March 15 at 10 a.m., March 22 at 10 a.m., March 27 at 1 p.m. and April 12 at 6 p.m.
