Concrete pumping truck tips over in Nanaimo

Multiple tow vehicles needed to right heavy-duty truck

A concrete pumper truck rolled off the roadway in Nanaimo this afternoon.

Emergency services personnel are at Hammond Bay Road near Berkeley Place as towing crews try to right the heavy-duty truck, which rolled on its side at about 2 p.m. Friday, July 8.

Crews on scene didn’t know the circumstances of the mishap, but said the driver was not injured in the incident.

Crews said multiple towing vehicles will be needed to clear the scene. Traffic in the area is moving slowly.
