Oceanside RCMP received 260 complaints the week of March 6-12.
Some of the incidents included:
March 6
• An unlocked vehicle was reported rummaged through in the 400 block of Harnish Avenue, Parksville.
• B.C. licence plate ES321B was reported lost from a vehicle in the 3500 block of Outrigger Road, Nanoose Bay
March 7
• Two subjects were reported to have broken into a lobby and force open mailboxes in the 500 block of Stanford Avenue East, Parksville.
• A vehicle was reported rummaged through in the 100 block Abbey Lane, Parksville. There was no damage and nothing was reported missing.
• B.C. licence plate MK209H was reported missing from a vehicle in the 700 block of Rivers Edge Drive, Nanoose Bay.
• An Aqua Lung scuba jacket and a Ryobi 18V drill were found in the first block of Bridgewater Lane, Parksville. Contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours to claim.
• Vandals were reported to have damaged windows in the storybook homes in the 700 block of Primrose Street, Qualicum Beach.
March 8
• An illegal beach fire was reported in the 2700 block of Island Highway West, Qualicum Beach.
• A Canada Post mailbox was reported vandalized in the 1800 block of Ballenas Road, Nanoose Bay.
• A grey 2013 Chevrolet Silverado, B.C. licence plate RV4128, was reported stolen in the 500 block of Island Highway West, Parksville.
• A Canada Post mailbox was reported vandalized in the area of Sanders Road and Northwest Bay Road, Nanoose Bay. Unknown if any mail was stolen.
• B.C. licence plate LA7289 was reported missing from a vehicle in the 1000 block of Pillar Road, Qualicum Beach.

March 9
• An advertising sandwich board was reported stolen in the 900 block of Fairdowne Road, Parksville.
• A Canada Post mailbox was reported vandalized in the 1500 block of Stone Lake Drive, Nanoose Bay. Unknown if any mail was stolen.
• A BC Ambulance Service GPS device, tag 38410, was reported stolen from a vehicle in Parksville.
• B.C. licence plates DB106A were reported missing from a vehicle in the 2600 block of Island Highway East, Nanoose Bay.
• Alberta licence plate E28454 was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 600 block of Island Highway East, Parksville.
March 10
• A pair of sunglasses, a Leatherman tool and cooler bag were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 700 block of Lancaster Place, Qualicum Beach.
• Mailboxes were reported vandalized in the 400 block of Stanford Avenue East, Parksville. Mail was reported stolen.
• A Canada Post mailbox was reported vandalized in the 600 block of Johnstone Road, French Creek. Unknown if any mail was stolen.
• A Canada Post mailbox was reported vandalized in the 800 block of View Road, Qualicum Beach. Unknown if any mail was stolen.
• A Canada Post mailbox was reported vandalized in the area of Kay Road and Island Highway East, Nanoose Bay. No mail was reported missing.
• A Canada Post mailbox was reported vandalized in the 1500 block of Madrona Drive, Nanoose Bay. Unknown if any mail was stolen.
March 11
• A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 900 block of Coombs Road, Coombs.
• A fraudster was reported phoning residents claiming to be from a local charity offering to do tax returns for free in exchange for their Social Insurance Numbers. Local service organizations would not phone for such personal information.
• A business yard break-and-enter was reported in the 600 block of Allsbrook Road, Parksville. A fence was cut and a vehicle was reported vandalized in the removal of fuel.
• A fence was reported vandalized in the 2000 block of Fisher Road, Parksville.
March 12
• A business break-and-enter was reported in the 100 block of Middleton Avenue, Parksville. Locks had been cut off of two sheds and materials left behind.
• A wallet and contents were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 700 block of Sanderson Road, Parksville.
• B.C. licence plate RY9101 was reported missing from a vehicle in the 1100 block of Chatsworth Road, Qualicum Beach.
• B.C. licence plate DB570C was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 800 block of Island Highway West, Parksville.
