Driver, occupant escape uninjured after truck flips

The Oceanside RCMP responded to a truck that flipped on its side around 10:15 a.m. on Northwest Bay Road in Nanoose on Saturday, Aug. 25 following a period of rain.

The vehicle’s driver and one occupant escaped the truck uninjured.

The rolled-over truck obstructed both lanes on Nothwest Bay Road near the Petro Canada gas station for a period.

Nanoose Volunteer Fire Department was on scene. turning traffic away until about 11:15 when they cleared the scene.

Oceanside RCMP Sgt. Stephen Rose said police are not investigating the accident as a criminal matter and alcohol was not a factor.

“The collision was unremarkable overall,” Rose said.
