Eve Flynn is running for re-election as the school trustee for Electoral Area E (Nanoose Bay) in School District 69 (Qualicum).

Flynn has been a trustee for 20 years, including serving as board chair for the last seven, according to a news release.

“I am passionate about public education and will continue to work for all the children in our district for an equitable learning experience,” she said, in the release. “Personalization of learning for every child is key for their successes going forward. We meet children where they are at.”

Flynn’s two children attended Nanoose Bay Elementary School, Springwood Middle School and Ballenas Secondary School. Both are now contributing members of the community.

“All children need to be supported in their learning journey,” she said.

Flynn has been on many School District 69 committees, as well as serving as chair of the Vancouver Island School Trustees Association. She also serves as the Coastal/Vancouver Island Regional Director of the BC Public School Employers Association board, where the focus is on labour relations (including bargaining) and human resources.

“There are many partners and rights holders within public education and I believe I bring many skills to the board table to create the best educational opportunities for our children,” Flynn said.
