FATHER AND SON SHAVES: Jeremy Morton and his eight-year-old son Jacob were two of the 25 people who had their heads shaved on Sunday at the 11th annual event hosted by the Dashwood Volunteer Fire Department. Proceeds go to to the Canadian Cancer Society. The Dashwood event has raised more than $41,000 over the last decade and just short of $3,000 this year. Volunteering to do the shaves on Sunday were Evelyn Schaverte, left, and Cheryle Cook. Any late donations can be dropped off at the fire hall or mailed to DVFD at 230 Hobbs Road, Qualicum Beach, V9K 2B2.
