Students and parents made their way through three classrooms full of science fair projects at Arrowview Elementary School Tuesday where exhibits ranged from The Science of Soccer to Enzyme information.
A number of the projects will move on to the district Science Fair taking place at Wembley Mall from Feb. 27 to March 1.
Six year old Simon Plett was one of the students showing off his project at Arrowview this week entitled Mixing Stuff. He mixed together a bunch of random ingredients to see what cool things he could create and his purple goo made up of glue, water, food colouring and borax was a bit hit with other students.
When asked what he wants to be when he grows up he had this answer:
“I want to do what my dad does, no job, just goes to work.”
Students displayed their projects at school science fairs throughout the district this week. Each student investigated a phenomenon in science through either a detailed study or by carrying out an experiment.
There will be over 200 exhibits with about 400 participants from Kindergarten to Grade 12 at the district Science Fair next week.
