On Oct. 5, at the Lighthouse Community Centre, Qualicum Bay, a friend and I had the pleasure of attending the matinee performance  of a Murder Mystery and Lunch presentation put on by the Qualicum Bay Theatre Group.

We would just like to say how much we enjoyed this performance. All the actors and actresses were wonderful and so talented. The hall was cleverly transformed into a nightclub setting and everyone in the audience were the night club patrons.

It was really quite wonderful. There was an 18-piece dance band (Georgia Straight Big Band) which was very good and we could dance to it during the intermission.

The lunch was delicious — fresh local chicken salad and fresh local apple cobbler and ice cream, etc. This whole show was put on by volunteers and we would like to say a very big thank-you to everyone who gave their time and effort, on the stage and behind the scenes to put this show together. They must have worked so hard to achieve such a great performance and a great lunch.
