It’s time once again to trim the trees with lights in Parksville.
On Thursday, Oct. 28, seasonal lights will be installed on the trees along the Alberni Highway, where city crews will work from 7:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. with several trucks deployed.
For this reason, parking will be extremely limited along the Alberni Highway. Crews will work in unison, and once the lights have been installed parking spaces will be made available.
• Starting at the CIBC at Highway 19A, on the west side moving up the Alberni Highway;
• Starting near the Royal Bank, on the east side moving down the Alberni Highway.
Lights will be installed on the Sequoia near the town clock on Monday, Nov. 22 and the end of Morison Avenue near Island Highway 19A will be closed to traffic for most of the day while work is underway.
