It’s with joy and sadness that we share the passing of our loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and best friend peacefully at home with his loving wife

Andree at his side.

John’s loving and kind nature will be deeply missed. He leaves behind his loving family, wife

Andree, children Jeff & Christine,

Jamie & Jennifer, Michelle & Brent, grandchildren Lucas, Sarah, Kyle, Kennedy, Kylie and Jaden. He also leaves behind his first wife Wendy. John felt blessed to be a vital part of a blended family of characters.

Born in India he moved to Canada at 7 years of age and moved back to England at 9 years of age. He permanently moved back to Canada to live in 1955 where he graduated and went on to UBC and received his CGA. He enjoyed being an entrepreneur and resurrected the forestry company Wedeene River. He moved to Parksville in 1990 to care for his mother Gladys after the passing of his father Bill.

Married Andree in 1992 and together they owned

Dolphin Travel and fulfilled their shared dreams of travel; including trips to Alaska and around the world. Stopping in Hong Kong, India, cruising through the Red Sea to Italy and journeyed through France to Paris – the city of love. In the final months as he journeyed through his battle with cancer, his dream was to return with family and friends to Paris and enjoy coffee and champagne while sitting on the Champs-Elysees.

John’s deep love of God and unwavering faith carried him through life.

The Celebration of Life will be held June 29 at the

Grace United Church in Coombs at 1:00pm.

Reception to follow at our home.
