Art thieves struck in Parksville on Wednesday, making off with a large painting from the Monk Art Gallery on Morison Ave.
Oceanside RCMP Corporal Jesse Foreman reported the unidentified culprits struck some time after 8 p.m., targeting a painting entitled Umbrellas Waiting on Rathtrevor Beach, which features yellow umbrellas on a beach.
Foreman noted the painting is quite large, measuring 58 by 37 inches.
