Liberal candidate checks out Parksville helicopter facility

Along with other candidates in the Parksville-Qualicum riding, B.C. Liberal incumbent Michelle Stilwell was busy on the final weekend before the May 9 provincial election.

After taking a tour of Parksville’s Ascent Helicopters, which employs 55 people, Stilwell served as a judge in the chili cook-off at the Fire and Ice Street Festival in Qualicum Beach.

Stilwell and her team will work out of her campaign office in Parksville, 127 Alberni Hwy., through the closing of polls at 8 p.m. Tuesday.
