Man dies in Cobble Hill trailer fire

Foul play not suspected in death on Thursday night

A man’s body was found inside a trailer that burned in Cobble Hill on Thursday night.

Shawnigan Lake RCMP and the Mill Bay Volunteer Fire Department attended the fire on the 3700 block of Kingburne Drive around 10:30 p.m. and found the trailer fully engulfed.

Foul play is not suspected in the death.

The investigation is ongoing, with involvement from theRCMP Forensic Identification Section, RCMP Island District General Investigation Section, a fire Investigator and the BC Coroners Service.

RCMP Victim Services are also assisting.
