Oceanside RCMP is investigating a fatal motorcycle crash in Parksville late Monday (Aug. 6).
The collision happened around 10:20 p.m. on Aug. 6 on Smithers Road, according to RCMP Island District Cpl. Tammy Douglas in a news release.
“A motorcycle crashed into the side of a bus that was being moved and blocked the entire road,” Douglas said.
The 48-year-old driver of the motorcycle, who is also a Parksville resident, succumbed to his injuries on scene, Douglas said.
The file, Douglas said, is still under investigation.
Douglas said the investigation is still in the early stages, but RCMP is considering charges for the owner of the bus.
