A new date — Monday, May 6 — has been set for an all-candidates forum in Parksville. The forum was originally scheduled for May 1. It is now set for 7 p.m., Monday, May 6 at the Parksville Community and Conference Centre.
All three officially declared candidates vying to be the MLA for Parksville Qualicum have confirmed (Barry Avis of the NDP, David Coupland of the Conservatives and Michelle Stilwell of the Liberals) and it’s expected they will be joined by Green Party candidate Gerri Schmidt. The forum is sponsored by The NEWS and the Parksville and District Chamber of Commerce. NEWS editor John Harding will be the moderator. — NEWS Staff
