Council portfolios and committee appointments were approved during Parksville city council’s inaugural regular meeting on Nov. 7.
The following appointments are effective until Nov. 6, 2023, according to a news release from the city:
Audit Committee: Mayor Doug O’Brien, Coun. Mary Beil, Coun. Amit Gaur;
Parcel tax roll review panel: All members of council (Community Charter - Section 204)

Arrowsmith Water Service Management Board: Mayor Doug O’Brien. Alternate: Coun. Joel Grenz;
Englishman River Water Service Management Board: Mayor Doug O’Brien, Coun. Joel Grenz;
Municipal Insurance Association of BC: Mayor Doug O’Brien, Alternate: Coun. Joel Grenz;
