An inmate who has been on the lam since walking away from an escorted visit on March 29 is back in jail.
Howard Soloman O’Soup, was found and arrested on April 5 at 3:40 a.m. at the Hollywood Hotel in Surrey after police acted on an anonymous tip.
He was taken into custody without incident and has been remanded until April 17 to appear in Surrey Provincial court on the charge of escaing lawful custody.
RCMP Constable Gary O’Brien said O’Soup will also be required to serve out the remainder of his current sentence of 547 days.
