Parksville city council is proposing a four per cent increase in 2017, the city reported in a news release.
The estimated increase for the average priced home would be about $53.50 for 2017 for the city’s share of the taxes. A typical single family home would pay about $10 more a year for water and $7 more a year for sewer. The next round of budget deliberation meetings for Council to discuss the 2017-2021 Final Financial Plan and 2017 Final Budget are scheduled for 6 pm on March 15 and March 29.
